About Lily
I have nurtured my passion for mathematics through an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics and Computational Modelling and 11 years of teaching experience. My journey has included mentoring students across diverse age groups, from school learners to university aspirants, helping them develop strong conceptual frameworks and analytical skills. I specialise in integrating abstract theory with practical applications, enabling students to see mathematics as both a logical and creative discipline.
My teaching philosophy emphasises clarity, engagement, and interactive learning. I use visual demonstrations, real-world problem-solving examples, and step-by-step guidance to ensure that learners understand and retain concepts. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students can explore, make mistakes safely, and develop both competence and confidence in mathematics.
Beyond the classroom, I continue to engage with research, computational simulations, and advanced mathematical concepts to enrich my lessons with contemporary applications. Teaching mathematics is immensely rewarding because I witness learners transform their understanding and confidence, seeing them evolve from hesitant students into capable, independent thinkers with the tools to succeed in academics and beyond.
