About Lorenzo
I am a student completing my specialization in Applied Mathematics, a program that spans statistics, dynamic systems, and control. Over the years, I have developed solid skills in both teaching and practical applications. I worked for several years as a professorial assistant at the University of Groningen, an experience taught entirely in English, which allowed me to hone my communication skills and make even the most complex concepts understandable. Beyond academia, I have gained experience in the industrial sector, including participating in the solar-powered car project for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia: a context in which data analysis, mathematical modeling, and problem-solving skills were crucial. Mathematics has taught me to look at the world from multiple perspectives: just as an equation can be solved in multiple ways, each student has a unique path to reach its solution. My job is to help them find the best one for them, with professionalism, patience, and passion.

Every student is unique, and for this reason, my methodology adapts to each student. My goal is always the same: to guide the student toward their goals in the clearest, fastest, and most effective way possible. Some students face exams that are far from their usual curriculum: with them, I focus on the essential foundations needed to pass the exam without unnecessary complications. Others, however, want to delve deeper and understand every detail; with them, I work more advanced, exploring all the nuances of the subject. My lessons are born from the belief that every student is unique: for this reason, I constantly adapt my methodology, pace, and style of explanation to the needs of each student. My goal is always the same: to help the student achieve their goals in the most effective, natural, and satisfying way possible. Teaching Techniques and Methodology I use a flexible and personalized approach that combines clear explanations, targeted exercises, visualizations, guided reasoning, and discussion, including quizzes and games. I alternate theory with practical examples to make each concept immediately applicable. Teaching Specifics – Targeted support for students who need to pass non-core exams, focusing on the truly essential foundations. – Advanced in-depth courses for those who want to understand every detail and master the subject at a higher level. – Active, dynamic, and personalized lessons, designed to maintain motivation and engagement.
