About Skye
I am a mathematics tutor with 13 years of experience and a PhD in Pure Mathematics. My journey began with a deep interest in patterns, numbers, and logical thinking. Over the years, I have worked with many students and helped them improve their understanding and confidence in mathematics. My aim is to make mathematics simple, clear, and enjoyable for every learner.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and supportive. I focus on breaking down complex problems into smaller, manageable steps so students can understand easily. I use practical examples, guided exercises, and regular practice to help learners improve steadily. I also adjust my lessons based on each student’s needs and pace, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported throughout their learning journey. Helping students build confidence is always my main focus.
Outside teaching, I enjoy solving mathematical problems and exploring advanced topics. This helps me bring better clarity into my lessons. I feel proud when students gain confidence and begin solving problems on their own. Supporting their growth and helping them develop a deep understanding of mathematics is something I truly value, and I remain dedicated to guiding them with patience, clarity, and encouragement at every step.

My mathematics lessons are designed to help students truly understand concepts rather than depend on memorization. I begin with core topics such as numbers, algebra, and geometry using simple explanations that are easy to follow. Students learn how each idea connects with another, which builds a strong foundation. I use clear step-by-step methods so learners can solve problems without confusion. This approach helps students feel comfortable and removes fear from mathematics right from the beginning.
As students grow in confidence, I introduce more advanced topics such as functions, trigonometry, and calculus basics. I guide learners through structured practice sessions that improve both accuracy and speed. I explain mistakes in a calm and supportive way so students can learn without pressure. I provide additional support for those who need it and also challenge advanced learners with deeper problems. Every lesson is adapted to match the learner’s pace and goals for better understanding.
With regular practice, students begin to think more logically and approach problems with clarity. They develop strong reasoning skills and gain confidence in their abilities. My lessons create a positive and encouraging environment where learners feel free to ask questions. Over time, students become more independent and motivated, building strong mathematical skills and a lasting confidence that supports their academic growth and future success.
