About Logan
My fascination with mathematics began with exploring patterns, logic, and problem-solving in the natural and technological world. This curiosity inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics and an M.Sc in Applied Statistics, blending theoretical understanding with practical analytical expertise. Over 10 years, I have guided students from foundational arithmetic to advanced calculus and abstract mathematical concepts, fostering confidence, critical thinking, and mastery.
I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability, combining visual aids, real-life examples, and structured exercises to make abstract ideas approachable. I encourage independent thinking, curiosity, and reasoning, helping learners understand why concepts work and how to apply them effectively. Lessons balance conceptual learning with practice, reinforcing both skill and confidence.
Beyond teaching, I continue exploring applied mathematics, problem-solving research, and real-world applications to enrich lessons with relevance and depth. Mathematics becomes engaging when learners develop both understanding and confidence in problem-solving. My lessons cover algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, and analytical reasoning, emphasising conceptual clarity alongside application. I focus on helping students grasp patterns, reasoning processes, and problem-solving strategies rather than rote memorisation. Lessons incorporate visual explanations, real-life examples, guided exercises, and interactive problem-solving to make mathematics meaningful and intellectually stimulating.
Lesson plans are adapted to each learner’s level. Beginners develop arithmetic, algebra, and basic geometry skills to build a strong foundation. Intermediate learners explore calculus, combinatorics, probability, and multi-step problems to strengthen analytical and reasoning skills. Advanced learners study linear algebra, optimisation, abstract algebra, and modelling for competitive exams, research projects, or advanced academic work.
