About Jorge
Hi, I'm Jorge, a senior aerospace engineering student with a strong background in math, physics, and chemistry. I've spent years applying these subjects in hands-on engineering projects, from carbon fiber manufacturing to computational simulations, and I love helping others understand how these concepts work in the real world. My goal as a tutor is to make complex topics approachable and even enjoyable. I’m patient, reliable, and take pride in adapting my teaching style to fit each student’s needs. As a tutor, I focus on building strong conceptual foundations while connecting lessons to real-world applications. From there, we work through examples together, using diagrams or real-life scenarios, like rockets or cars, to help bring abstract equations to life. I also encourage active problem-solving and offer tips for approaching challenging exam questions with confidence.
What sets me apart is my background as a senior aerospace engineering major and hands-on experience in both manufacturing and research. I’ve applied the subjects I teach to real engineering projects, and I love helping students see why what they’re learning actually matters. I’ve also taught a wide range of students, from K–12 to college-level courses like Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra, so I’m comfortable adjusting my approach to fit any level.
