I've been teaching in person and online for some thirty-five years. ONLINE tutoring is not for everyone but usually it is very effective. Some students like the camera to show our faces and some do not. I leave that decision up to the student.

I learned long time ago that each student is unique; we all learn in different ways. DIFFERENCES ARE GOOD! Over the past five years, I have tutored a student over a thousand miles away from Grade 9-12 and then through the first semester of junior college. He is now flourishing at college on his own in Computer Science. We used SKYPE (which is free); it has a whiteboard on which both tutee and tutor can write. The lad is smart; he just needed a friendly push. My favorite subjects are MATH at all levels (up to and including Algebra II) and LATIN at all levels
