As a tutor, my goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs by first identifying their strengths, gaps, and learning style. My methodology is based on breaking complex topics into intuitive steps, using examples, visual aids, and analogies whenever possible.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by a focused explanation of new concepts, and then guided problem-solving. I always leave time at the end for questions, recap, and tips on how to study effectively between sessions. I also provide optional practice problems and strategies for exam preparation.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain abstract concepts in a clear and relatable way. Having recently completed the same courses with strong results, I understand the expectations and common difficulties faced by students.
My lessons are ideal for CEGEP students, especially those in math-heavy programs (such as Pure and Applied Science or Computer Science & Mathematics), or anyone struggling with calculus, linear algebra, physics, or introductory programming.
