About Svetlana
I am a current Masters of Quantitative Economics fellow at UCLA and also hold a bachelor's in Economics. I have worked with companies like Deloitte, D.E. Shaw & Co. and more recently, the Connor Group- all in roles related to investment research & data analytics. I also love doing research within my field that is easily understood and have a variety of published papers to my name. I had my first tutoring gig at 18 when I taught underpriviledged middle school students. More recently, I have taught full-time MBA students and also freshmen at UCLA as a teaching assistant and fellow respectively. I am passionate about what I do and how I can add value to people's lives through it. Teaching is something I particularly enjoy also because of my family background. However, I never had a lot of good teachers in high school and that really made understand the value of having one!

I come from a family of professors and have grown up around education so I understand what it's like to want to have a good teacher! Since I am also a student myself, I understand your challenges, your hopes and will do my best to accomodate them all. I am open to teaching at all levels ranging from middle school to undergrad and have past experience at all levels as well. The primary aim of my lessons is to be easy-going, conversational and a safe space to ask questions! :)
