About Beckett
I am a flute tutor passionate about helping students explore music with confidence and creativity. My teaching combines mentorship, accountability, and critical thinking to ensure steady progress. I focus on developing tone, phrasing, rhythm, and breath control, while nurturing expressive playing. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training to build complete musicianship. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, composition, and musical storytelling. Accountability helps students set goals, practice consistently, and track improvement.
Mistakes are treated as natural learning opportunities, providing valuable lessons. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace, skill level, and personal interests. My flute teaching approach is creative, thoughtful, and student-centered. I believe every learner has unique potential, and my goal is to help them find their voice through music. I combine structure with creativity to make each lesson inspiring and practical. As a mentor, I guide students to think critically and reflect on their progress. Accountability is part of every class—we set goals and celebrate achievements together.
My lessons build strong foundations in technique, tone, and rhythm. I encourage students to understand the why behind every exercise. Creativity plays a big role, with improvisation and musical exploration included in lessons. I help students build discipline through consistent, positive practice habits. I value curiosity and open communication in every session. Students are free to ask questions and explore different musical styles.
I also teach music theory and reading to strengthen understanding. My lessons are flexible to match each student’s pace and personality. Mistakes are treated as learning steps toward growth. I believe music should feel joyful, not stressful. In addition to flute, I teach related subjects like theory and performance preparation. My goal is to make every student confident, expressive, and passionate about music.
