About Jenny
Hi!!! It's so nice to meet you! I am a Chinese-Canadian student recently graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) majoring in Psychology and Ecology. Growing up in a bilingual household with English as my primary language, I am also fluent in Chinese and can facilitate my teaching with both languages. I love to play tennis and currently am studying as a master's student in Michigan. I love to connect with students hoping to learn a new language or improve their skills in English and I am down to work with you to set up an individualized plan that maximizes the benefit for each student. Lessons are planned according to the students' needs, either based on their current English class coursework or self-designed to improve in a certain area (ex: spelling, vocabulary, reading comprehension, etc.). Timing of lessons is flexible, 30min-1 hour private lessons on a weekly or 2x a week basis. Can be adjusted based on students' time difference and individual preferences. These lessons will be suitable for students of all ages that are beginning to learn English, or for elementary, middle, and high school students with English as their second language. I have previous experience working with Chinese 6-7th grade students and have helped them drastically increase their vocabulary and interest in continuously learning the English language.
