About Lara
My name is Lara, I’m 25 and originally from Melbourne, Australia. I began learning the violin at the age of 3 through the Suzuki Method, before switching to the AMEB system (Australian Music Examinations Board), where I achieved my Associate and Licentiate diplomas in violin performance, considered professional accreditations for music, by the age of 17. I then attained a Bachelor's degree in Music, Classical Violin (1st Class Honors) from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, and recently obtained a Master's from The Juilliard School, NYC, in Historical Performance (Baroque violin). I currently reside in NYC. Working with children and inspiring their confidence and growth in both music and life has been a passion of mine for many years. I have experience teaching at both primary and high schools, as well as maintaining a private student roster. During the pandemic, I taught individual lessons online and gained valuable insight into what methods are most effective through this medium. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I offer individual violin and viola lessons in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions, tailored to each learner’s pace, personality, and goals.
