About Mackenzie
I am a dedicated singing tutor with a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and over eight years of experience coaching students of all levels. My passion for singing began early in life and has been nurtured through extensive training, performances, and teaching. I believe that every voice is unique and has the potential to shine with the right guidance and care. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with a diverse range of students—from those just starting to explore their voice to seasoned performers preparing for auditions and concerts. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, focusing on healthy vocal techniques, musicality, and confidence-building. My approach is patient, encouraging, and designed to foster growth both technically and artistically. My academic background provides me with a deep understanding of vocal anatomy, breath control, and performance practices, which I integrate into my teaching to ensure safe and effective singing. I stay updated with the latest vocal pedagogy and continuously refine my methods to provide the best learning experience. What I find most fulfilling is helping students discover their own voice and express themselves authentically through music. My singing lessons are designed to develop both the technical skills and artistic expression needed for confident, beautiful vocal performance. Whether you’re a beginner discovering your voice or an experienced singer aiming to refine your technique, lessons are tailored to meet your individual goals. Each session focuses on healthy vocal habits, breath control, pitch accuracy, and emotional connection to the music.
For beginners, I emphasize foundational skills such as proper breathing techniques, vocal warm-ups, and pitch training. I use engaging exercises and simple songs to build your confidence and help you understand how your voice works. This approach ensures a solid base for safe and effective singing.
Intermediate and advanced students work on expanding vocal range, improving tone quality, and mastering performance skills like phrasing and stage presence. We explore various musical styles to enhance versatility and develop your unique artistic voice. Lessons also include techniques to prepare for auditions, recitals, or recording sessions.
With a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and eight years of teaching experience, I combine academic expertise with practical insight. My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where you can explore your voice freely, overcome challenges, and enjoy the transformative power of singing.
