About Eddy

With over 20 years of experience playing in metal, hard rock, jazz latin rock and fusion bands, I bring my unique and improvisational style to my lessons, helping my students if desired to develop their individual playing identity, compositional and songwriting skills.

As an active professional musician in the U.K., I perform with bands, work as a session musician and have released my own Latin Rock EP. I also play bass guitar and ukelele.

My lessons are straightforward and practical, with a focus on playing and developing style and confidence rather than simply theory— though I can teach theory, sight-reading, and aural skills to a high standard if you like too

A tutor once told me, "The sky is the limit," and I take that to heart. We’ll go as far as you want to!

I offer lessons online via Skype, WhatsApp, or Zoom, as well as in person at my studio in Leeds.

About the lesson

I work on pupils' motivations and goals. We focus on what motivates students to play. The lessons are accessible to all levels, are fun, and engaging. I can teach both electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar and ukulele. I have experience in Jazz, rock metal, and can also teach classical guitar, pop, funk, blues and Latin.

My 14 year old son has group lessons with Eddy at our local music centre, and during school holidays we book individual lessons to help keep up the practice. Eddy is a talented guitarist and with his relaxed style the lessons are fun and inspiring, my son enjoys playing with him and has progressed well. Eddy is friendly and accommodating and clearly loves sharing his knowledge, he is in tune with his students and adapts each lesson to suit them. He is an amazing teacher and songwriter and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to those of any age who would like to take up guitar

Eddy has given me a broad scope of understanding when it comes to guitar due to his wide interest in genre. Not only has he taught me how to shred like a wizard, but also how to understand complex jazz harmony.

As well as this he has great finger technique, songwriting skills and is a genuinely friendly guy. I've heard similar stuff from his other students too and I know he teaches all ages :)
