About Samantha
I am a special education teacher who has been working in formal school settings for the last 5 years. I have worked with students with a variety of disabilities and in a variety of subjects. I enjoy figuring out how a student learns and making things make sense to those students. I am a avid reader and love to talk about whatever book I am currently reading, as well as reading books with my students to inspire conversation and their love of reading.

I teach in whatever way is needed to understand the content. I will work with your child to get through their homework, study for tests, or whatever assignment we need to complete. A typical lesson plan would open with straight forward instruction, then there would be some "we do" work in which we cover the steps together. Finally, I would give your student time to complete the work independently to check their understanding. This may be followed by a game or an exit ticket to carry to our next lesson. My lessons are typically for kindergarten-6th grade in any subject. If there are college students looking for assistance in their education courses, I would be willing to help there, too.
