About Josie
My teaching approach for violin focuses on developing creativity, critical thinking, and accountability in every student. I am a dedicated violin tutor with over 2 years of experience, specializing in helping college students enhance their musical skills and confidence. My lessons are carefully designed to balance technical mastery with creative expression, making the learning process both enjoyable and effective. I focus on developing a strong foundation in bowing, tone control, and intonation while encouraging students to explore their own musical style.
My teaching style is creative, supportive, and interactive. I use innovative techniques like play-along sessions, backing tracks, and digital tools to help students understand rhythm and phrasing in a more engaging way. I also integrate ear training and improvisation exercises to strengthen listening skills and musical awareness.
Each lesson is customized to meet the student’s goals, pace, and level. I believe in building accountability and motivating students through structured practice routines and positive feedback. My goal is to make every learner feel inspired, confident, and capable of expressing themselves beautifully through the violin.
