About Nazia
Dedicated learner, with a passion for research, analysis, and informing my pedagogy. Currently, I am completing my Master of Teaching at UofT’s OISE, in intermediate senior English, and Social Science. I have worked as a student teacher in secondary schools, in both English, and Social Science classes, across grades 9-12. As a tutor, I have worked with students grades 7-12, creating personalized digital goals, expectations, and lesson plans catered to their academic needs.

My lessons are informed by the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework, which notes the importance of collaboration in the learning environment. My teaching methods are catered to the specific needs, goals, and capacities of each student, while paying attention to their room for growth. As a prospective teacher, and current educator, my method of learning and teaching is to understand the needs of the student, their capacity to navigate academic content, and the best route for their academic success. Most importantly, I believe in the importance of mentorship, and intersecting diverse disciplines within the learning process.
