About Hippolie
Hello everyone,
My name is Hippolie Kenmoe, a Mathematics graduate and certified in French as a Foreign Language. I am a native French speaker with an outstanding level in French and fluent in English. I will start my iPGCE at the university of Birmingham Dubai along with my Assessment Only Route to QTS at university of Sunderland in September 2023. These programmes don't presently have a placement component, as it is expected that students are already employed in a educational context during their course of studies. Therefore I am looking for a school placement or learning institute where I can work while doing my teacher training. My goal is to become an outstanding Mathematics and French teacher.
I have been a Mathematics and French teacher for over 15 years now, both online and in person. During this time, I have taught students of all ages and levels, from beginner to advanced. My experience has helped me develop strong classroom management skills, as well as effective strategies to engage my students in learning. In Dubai, I have been working in a reputed training institute along with a British school (volunteer), teaching and tutoring 11-18 years old students. I must say I really enjoyed this experience and learnt a lot from the British curriculum. Everyday was different and I felt like understanding each student better and better as we progress in the program.This experience helped to understand that teaching was the right choice for my career and now I am ready to teach and put into practice everything I learnt.

I like my lessons to be varied and fun, an interesting lesson makes an interested student ! I usually use various interactive activities and with teaching, I creates bespoke lessons. If a student is struggling with a subject I teach, the first thing I will do is assess their level of understanding. Once I have an idea of where they are at, I can create a plan tailored to their individual needs.
