With over a decade of professional experience as a walkaround magician, complemented by my background as a registered teacher in New Zealand, I bring a unique blend of expertise and passion to my role as a tutor. My journey into magic began in 2012 after watching mind-bending feats of telepathy on TV, and since then, I've honed my craft through countless performances, from intimate bar gigs to full-length live shows that I've orchestrated entirely on my own.
As a seasoned magician and educator, I'm committed to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment where students can thrive and discover the magic within themselves. With over a decade of professional experience as a walkaround card magician, combined with my background as a registered teacher in New Zealand, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every lesson. From beginners eager to master their first trick, to seasoned performers seeking to polish their routines, I'm here to guide and inspire you every step of the way.
In our sessions, which typically run for one hour, we'll dive deep into the fundamentals of card magic, exploring techniques, sleights, and routines tailored to your interests and aspirations. I'll provide engaging homework assignments, valuable feedback, and real-world performance tips to help you shine on stage or in any social setting.

Please note: as of August 2024, I have moved to Takayama, Japan, to teach English as an Assistant Language Teacher. I am still available to tutor magic, we just would need to be strategic about timing! I look forward to helping you on your journey!
