About Yash

Hi! I am Yash, and I'm thrilled you're considering me as your tutor. With my Master's in Clinical Research and 5 years of hands-on tutoring experience, I've had the privilege of helping over 450 students transform their academic journeys—and I'd love to help transform yours too. What makes me different? I'm not just someone who teaches from textbooks. I'm actively passionate about the subjects I teach. I spend my free time diving into the latest biomedical breakthroughs and clinical research developments, which means I bring fresh, exciting real-world examples to every session. When we're studying chemistry, I'll show you how it's revolutionizing drug development. Learning statistics? Let's explore how it's saving lives through clinical trials. This isn't just academic content to me—it's the fascinating world I love sharing with students. My approach has earned me some commendable reviews with tutoring companies such as Wyzant and Varsity Tutors because I genuinely care about your success. I remember what it's like to struggle with complex concepts (organic chemistry nearly broke me in undergrad!), so I've developed methods that actually work. My students see an average 35% improvement in their grades—not through memorization, but through real understanding. When I'm not tutoring, you'll find me solving puzzles, reading about medical history, or getting excited about the latest scientific discoveries. This enthusiasm is contagious—my students often tell me they never thought chemistry or statistics could be interesting until our sessions! I believe in mentoring the whole student. Beyond subject knowledge, I'll share study strategies and research skills that have helped students get into medical school, ace their MCATs, and build successful careers in healthcare and research. With experience tutoring across both the U.S. and Canada, I understand different educational systems and can adapt to your specific needs. Whether you're aiming for that A+, preparing for professional exams, or simply want to genuinely understand these subjects, I'm here to guide you. Let's turn those challenging concepts into exciting discoveries together!

How I Teach & My Approach:

After 5 years and 500+ hours of tutoring, I've learned that every student is unique. That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. When we first meet, I'll spend time getting to know you—how you learn best, what trips you up, and what your goals are. From there, I build our sessions around YOU.

My background (Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences, Master's in Clinical Research) means I've been in your shoes. I remember struggling with organic chemistry mechanisms and statistical analyses. Now I use those experiences to break down tough concepts in ways that actually make sense. Real talk—I've helped students boost their grades by an average of 35% because I focus on understanding, not memorization.

What Our Sessions Look Like:

Here's how I typically run things:

We'll start each session checking in on last week's material (5-10 mins). Any confusion? Let's clear it up before moving forward. Then I'll introduce new concepts using whatever clicks for you—drawings, real-life examples, even funny analogies (15-20 mins). My personal favorite? Explaining enzyme kinetics using a crowded coffee shop!

Next comes the fun part—we tackle problems together (20-25 mins). I'll guide you at first, then gradually step back as you get more comfortable. Before wrapping up, you'll try some problems solo while I'm there for backup (10-15 mins). We'll end by making sure you're solid on everything and I'll give you practice problems that actually help (not busy work).

Why I'm Different:

Look, I get it. Science can be intimidating. But here's the thing—I've tutored over 150 students across the U.S. and Canada, and I've seen every type of learner succeed. My 4.9/5 rating from 119 reviews isn't because I'm some genius teacher. It's because I listen, adapt, and genuinely care about your success.

I won't just throw formulas at you. We'll dig into the "why" so things actually stick. And unlike some tutors who disappear between sessions, I'm available for quick questions via email when you're stuck on homework at 10 PM.

Who I Work With

I love working with:
• Middle schoolers getting introduced to Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (and mostly confused on what it's all about)
• High schoolers tackling AP Chemistry or Biology (and freaking out about it)
• Pre-med and nursing students surviving organic chemistry and anatomy
• University students in any life science or STEM program who need that extra boost
• Grad students wrestling with biostatistics (I've been there!)
• Adults going back to school or prepping for MCAT/SAT/PSAT
• Anyone who thinks they're "just not a science person" (spoiler: you are, you just haven't found the right teacher/tutor yet)

Whether you need to ace an exam, understand a tough chapter, or just want someone who'll make science less scary, I'm here for it. Let's turn those confusing concepts into "YESSSS!" moments and get you where you want to be!
