About Jade

Hi! My name is Jade and I've been mentoring students across high school and university for over 5 years. Last year, I completed a research-based M.A. in Psychology at Cornell University, and before that, I completed my B.Sc. in Psychology at McGill.

At both McGill and Cornell, I served as a mentor for undergraduate students both in lecture courses as a teaching assistant, and in labs as a research supervisor. I also currently work for Lumiere Education, where I develop customized syllabi and weekly 60-minute lessons to coach high school and
university students 1:1 in a competitive research scholar program.

Overall, I am passionate about learning and teaching, and I would love the opportunity to work with you!

My goal with tutoring is to create a plan that works specifically for you--your skills, your weaknesses, and your preferred way of learning!

Whether it be psychology or math or exam prep, I like to break a problem down to its parts and figure out exactly where you're having trouble, so that you can incrementally improve throughout our sessions and eventually be able to tackle new, unseen problems independently.

I can help with anything in the field of psychology through the university-level, though I specialize in developmental psychology and cognition. I can also help high schoolers or CEGEP students with math (algebra, geometry) and science (biology, physics).

I look forward to working with you!
