About Phaedra
I am a recent Master's degree graduate from Boston University, and I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire. Both of which were degrees in biology and, more specifically, cell and molecular biology for my master's. I am extremely passionate about biological processes, and I hope to instill this excitement in my students. I have experience tutoring students from when I was in college across many biological subjects. I understand these subjects can be tricky, and I am here to help you achieve your academic goals.

My teaching method includes building foundational skills that allow us to understand the big picture. Based on this, we can build upon material and connect ideas. From this point, we learn how to approach studying for exams and learn study strategies. Not everyone has the same study strategy, so we work together to build a strategy that works for the student. These skills can be applied to future exams so we can achieve our learning goals. I work with students on homework, reviewing lectures, preparing for exams, and answering any general questions that may arise. Though I now have deep roots in my academic career, I once struggled academically and needed a tutor too! It can be nerve-wracking to ask for help, but this is what we are here for, and we are happy to help in any way we can! I specialize in introductory biology, microbiology, and molecular biology.
