About Amir
I’m Amir, a Master of Finance graduate with a strong quantitative background in mathematics, physics, economics, and finance. My studies have included calculus, statistics, probability, and other mathematics-intensive subjects, giving me a strong foundation for teaching students at different levels.
I enjoy making difficult concepts easier to understand by breaking them into clear, logical steps. Through mentoring, team leadership, and training experience, I have worked with people from different academic backgrounds and learned how to adapt explanations to each person’s needs. I am patient, reliable, and comfortable with repeated questions, and my goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel confident asking questions and improving at their own pace.

My approach is patient, structured, and focused on helping students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than simply memorizing formulas. I start by identifying what the student already understands and where the difficulty begins, then break the topic into smaller, manageable parts using clear explanations and worked examples. If one explanation does not make sense, I adjust my approach until we find a method that works for the student.
A typical lesson includes a short review, explanation of the main concept, guided practice, independent problem-solving, and a final recap of the key ideas. My background in physics, economics, and quantitative finance allows me to connect mathematics to practical examples and explain concepts from different perspectives.
I teach students from elementary and middle school through high school and first-year university, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, probability, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and Data Management.
