Hi, I'm a final year PhD student at the Faculty of English, University of Cambridge. 1. Technique & Teaching Methodology:
I model my small class size and one-on-one personalised teaching on the Cambridge supervision style of teaching wherein the focus is on listening closely to the student and helping them making conceptual/logical/learning leaps. This way, the student develops their own methods of critically thinking through problems. I alternate that with more direct instruction and handholding if need be. I also focus on being attentive to the student's learning styles and needs to design the best learning environment for them.
2. Typical length of a lesson: 1 - 2 hours, depending on the student.
3. Qualification: PhD in English (Cambridge University, 2020-2024); MPhil in English Studies (JNU, India, 2015-2017); MA in English (Delhi University, 2012-2014); BA in History (Delhi University, 2008-2011).
4. Experience: Undergraduate Supervisor, Faculty of English, University of Cambridge (2021-Present); University of Delhi (2017-2020).
