About Marie
I have been tutoring since I retired from engineering. I enjoy helping students succeed and build confidence in their studies. I have found that it is usually a small obstacle that hinders success.
I like to be outdoors. I sail and ski. I enjoy making things and solving puzzles. Not necessarily the 2000-bit ones, although those can be challenging, but the puzzles that make life interesting.

I like to engage the students in the learning process by helping them find the best method for their learning by evaluating study patterns and solution thought processes. I give the students the tools they need to be successful in STEM courses.
This technique has worked on students from grade school to postgraduate work.
I review the past work looking for patterns that may be challenging the student's progress then look for options and tools to overcome the challenges.

Details
The first session can be a phone call to align on a session time and cadence, or an online session. We will not be doing any subject tutoring during this time.
The hourly rate can be adjusted based on the amount of prep time needed outside of the session. Meaning if I need to put together a study curriculum or worksheets, the cost is as quoted. If you bring all the materials, the hourly rate may be adjusted based on the subject matter.
To secure our session, you will need to pay 48 hours in advance.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the session will be charged at the agreed rate between the student and me.
