About Jesse
While performing professionally with the Ballets for 35 years, I have also earned Associate degrees in both World Literature and World Religions, a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, and a Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. I have written nearly 3,000 poems within the magical realism genre during my lifetime. With the Ballets, I toured extensively performing Classical and Contemporary Ballets. My study and licensed practice of Oriental Medicine has inspired me to help heal many people, as well as providing me insight into my own wellness. I enjoy sharing my diverse experience and esoteric knowledge with others who have curious and interesting minds!

Poetry is creative, so my lessons are creative. We can study traditional historical periods, or develop your own creative poetic voice. I will cultivate courses based upon your personal desire. We could read poetics and discuss their form, meaning, metaphors, symbols, and impact. Or, we will create poetry from exploring your own inner source of inspiration, symbols, and experiences. I am also proficient at exam preparation. We will review note-taking skills, memorization and retention strategies, scheduling study time in a busy life, and anxiety reduction techniques. I have successfully passed many difficult exams in the course of my academic career. I am happy to share my methods and experience! English lessons for the non-native speaker include general grammar, spelling, and conversational practice for social, professional, and interpersonal communication.
