About Damien

Hi, I’m Damien, a native Londoner with a passion for teaching English and helping people achieve their language goals. I’ve been teaching for 7 years, and throughout this journey, I’ve come to realize that learning a language is not just about mastering grammar and vocabulary—it’s about building confidence and discovering new ways to express yourself.

I became a teacher because I love seeing my students grow. Whether it’s helping someone improve their pronunciation, gain fluency, or simply feel more comfortable speaking English in everyday situations, I find great fulfillment in guiding that process. As a TEFL-certified tutor, my approach is always personalized and practical, focusing on real-world applications and making learning fun and engaging.

I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language because I’ve seen them firsthand. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where my students can make mistakes, ask questions, and progress at their own pace. Teaching allows me to connect with people from all walks of life, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact that learning English has on their personal and professional lives.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is student-centered, focusing on making learning both practical and enjoyable. I tailor each class to the student's individual needs and learning style, offering personalized feedback and support to make sure they reach their language goals.

Techniques and Methodology:
I emphasize communication, encouraging students to speak as much as possible, while correcting mistakes in a constructive way. Lessons include a mix of vocabulary building, grammar exercises, and pronunciation drills, with a strong focus on conversational fluency. I also use multimedia resources like videos, articles, and role-plays to make lessons more interactive.

Length of Lessons:
Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute sessions for students who want more in-depth practice.

Qualifications/Experience:
I am a TEFL-certified tutor with 7 years of experience teaching English to students of all levels. Being a native Londoner, I specialize in British English, particularly focusing on conversational skills.
