I’m a Maths tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Computational Mathematics. My teaching philosophy is grounded in a holistic approach that makes advanced maths accessible to everyone, especially non-STEM majors. I focus on conceptual understanding and real-world relevance rather than heavy computation. This helps students see maths as a meaningful language, not just abstract numbers.
I use everyday analogies and historical context to bring complex theories to life. This approach allows learners to grasp the “big ideas” behind mathematics while connecting them to their own experiences. Over the years, I’ve worked extensively with liberal arts students, humanities scholars, and individuals aiming to overcome maths anxiety. I create lessons that are encouraging, thoughtful, and tailored to each learner’s needs.
For me, teaching maths is about building confidence and curiosity. I guide students step by step so they can approach problems with clarity and creativity. My goal is to transform maths from something intimidating into something inspiring. Together, we’ll cultivate both understanding and confidence.
