About Clarie
I am a dedicated and empathetic tutor with a strong passion for nurturing young minds. With experience guiding children through reading, art activities, and academic work, I’ve developed a student-led teaching style that encourages learners to take ownership of their learning. Before each lesson, I invite students to share areas they’d like to focus on, allowing me to plan sessions that are both relevant and engaging. I believe that every child learns differently, and my goal is to create a supportive space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. I want to teach because I find deep meaning in helping others build confidence in themselves and their abilities. Watching a student overcome challenges—whether it’s understanding a difficult concept or completing a piece of writing—reminds me of the impact a patient, encouraging mentor can have. Teaching is not just about delivering content; it’s about empowering learners and helping them discover joy in learning.

I conduct my lessons using a student-led approach, where learners are encouraged to take an active role in shaping their own learning. Before each session, I invite students to share the topics or questions they would like to focus on—be it schoolwork, areas they find challenging, or specific subjects they’re curious about. This allows me to tailor each lesson to their immediate needs and interests, making the sessions more relevant and engaging. I plan my lessons around their input, incorporating clear explanations, guided practice, and interactive activities to reinforce understanding. This method not only helps students feel heard and supported but also fosters greater ownership, confidence, and motivation in their learning journey.
