About Sophie
I am originally from California but I completed my undergraduate degree in Washington State at the University of Puget Sound where I obtained a BSc in Biology and a minor in Environmental Policy. From January of 2018 to April of 2019 I worked s a volunteer then as Assistant Manager of the Bimini Biological Field Station (aka the 'SharkLab'). In 2019 I moved to Plymouth to complete my masters degree with the University of Plymouth and the Marine Biological Association. I graduated with a master of research in Marine Biology in October 2020 where I specialized in movement and behavioral ecology of marine predators, fisheries biology and conservation.

As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD I understand that not all students process information in the same way. My goal is to engage students with the material at hand by presenting the information in a way that best suits their preferred style of learning (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic/practical). I am adaptable and able to tailor the material to best suit the students needs.
