About Eric
I am a trained marine and freshwater biologist with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in aquatic sciences and ecology. I have worked in many countries as an educator and tutor, including; Canada, The United States, Ireland, and Qatar. Since my tutoring would normally last for several years, I have only tutored 8 students, but I did get them up from 'D' or failing students to 'B's' and 'A's'. I tutored five of the Qatari Royal Family, and am good with students who may struggle with learning disabilities. I have taught anywhere from Kindergarten to college and university and am primary a lab scientist and problem solver but I love to teach and share the knowledge that I have.

I like to get a background of why the student may require some additional help from a tutor. Everyone is different and has different goals, and more importantly, different situations that may be blocking them from achieving their potential. As a scientist, I observe and listen and then decide the best route to ensure that my time with the student is ideal for their personal learning style. I am a very personable and outgoing person so I try to project that enthusiasm onto my students which makes learning more interesting and ultimately more fun. If the student isn't happy, they won't learn as well as they possibly could.
