About Emma
Hello, I am Chinese. I have majored a Master in Chinese culture heritage management and undergraduate course in Chinese language and literature, and mechanical engineering. I have a qualification certificate of teachers of Chinese to speaker of other languages and I have a certificate of Standard Putonghua proficiency test secondary level. (二级甲等)
I have a certificate of Chinese traditional Wushu, Tai Chi - Duan Grade 4 (中国传统武术太极肆段) and a certificate of Chinese Wushu International instructor of Grade 2 (中国武术二级国际教练员)
I have been engaged in teaching Chinese to speaker of other languages for fifteen years in China and the UK. I take different method and teaching material to be directed against different age. I prefer to teach students with a systemic syllabus of Chinese, so that they can learn Chinese in the round at listening, speaking, reading and writing. Now I live in south east of London, it is near Crystal Palace - Gipsy Hill station. I am not a student, so I can teach for a longer time, and I can teach Mandarin and Taiji at the same time if you want :)
Usually I teach the subjects at my home. If you want me to go your home teaching, you should pay extra £10 to me directly for the time on the ways , and it's better taking lessons over one hours once . By this way it may save your money and my time for travel. If you think that' s no problem, we can try the first lesson. I love teaching, and I am very kind and patient. I have ever taught some orphans and children out of school for 4 years as a volunteer at a government aid management centre. Some children have grown up and started a work, but they still keep in touch with me. They brought me lots of happiness, make me feel younger. I'm thankful for it :)
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,

Emma is a highly professional and dedicated tutor.
She has tailored the lessons to my level, expectations and objectives.
She was patient and explained everything clearly.
It was a pleasure to learn from her.My Taichi course with tutor Emma Hong started in November last year and I have to say that I am very pleased with my path so far. Emma's teaching is up to every expectation, she is very precise, patient and diligent. She easily conveys her passion and love for Taichi and I highly recommend her teaching to all people who enjoy fluent and vigorous movement at least once in their lifetime.
I'm currently being taught Mandarin by Emma Hong. She is very patient, and teaches Chinese with fun. I am now more interested learning Chinese. I can write my name in Chinese, and other Chinese words using Pinyin and Hanzi. She always encourages me: 你真的很不错。 Yes, 我真的很不错！你也一定很不错。Choose her！
