About Katrina
Hello, my name is Katrina and I am a native Chinese speaker. I have experience teaching Mandarin to both Chinese and Western students. I am fluent in English and have previously tutored Western students in my university. I have also taught bilingual classes to kids, so I am familiar with different teaching methods and techniques to help my students learn effectively. I am passionate about teaching Mandarin and helping my students achieve their language learning goals.
In addition to my experience teaching Mandarin, I also hold a master's degree in applied linguistics. This has provided me with a strong theoretical foundation for teaching languages, and has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to develop effective teaching strategies and techniques.

Mandarin
As a Mandarin tutor, my approach is to create a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment for my students. I believe that learning a language should be fun and engaging, so I use a variety of teaching methods and techniques to keep my students interested and motivated. Some of the techniques I use include role-playing, games, and interactive exercises.
A typical lesson plan would start with a review of the previous lesson to ensure that my students have a good understanding of the material. Then, I would introduce new concepts and vocabulary, and provide examples and exercises to practice. I would also encourage my students to speak as much as possible to improve their speaking and listening skills. Finally, I would assign homework to reinforce what was learned in the lesson.
I have been tutoring students aged 3 to 25 for over five years. As for Mandarin, I have previously tutored international students in my university in China. I have also taught bilingual classes to kids in early childcare center.
My lessons are for anyone who wants to improve their Mandarin skills, regardless of their degree, level, or class. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I can help you achieve your language learning goals.
