About Michael
I've been doing all forms of magic from close up to stage to escape for over 30 years. I've been teaching for over 15 years. My experience led me to write a book on magic in 2018. I have taught students of all ages ranging from 5 to 68. I've had all sorts of audiences. I not only teach tricks, but also tips on how to work an audience, and all the backstage techniques needed to be a successful performer.

I like to start out with tricks that are easy to master but also earn strong reactions from an audience. This builds confidence and keeps the student interested. My idea is to gradually increase difficulty of tricks learned. Otherwise they might get discouraged and quit prematurely. Also, most tricks I teach use ordinary everyday objects you likely already have in your house thus eliminating the need for expensive props.
