About Emily
I’m an LSE graduate and former management consultant with 10+ years of professional experience, now training towards chartership in psychology and supporting students to excel in the social sciences.
Education has always been central to my life. I was awarded a scholarship to one of the UK’s leading independent schools, studied at the London School of Economics, and also received an offer from Cambridge University.
Alongside my corporate career at EY, I have always enjoyed mentoring and helping others develop confidence in complex subjects.
I specialise in helping students understand and succeed in psychology, social policy, sociology and related social sciences, whether they are preparing for exams, university entry, or developing deeper academic understanding.
Students and parents often describe my teaching style as structured, supportive and engaging, helping turn difficult concepts into clear and practical insights.
Outside of tutoring, I live in the Cotswolds, where I enjoy seasonal living, cooking and weightlifting.

My lessons are fully personalised to each student’s goals, learning style and exam requirements.
I support students at: GCSE, A-Level, University entrance preparation, Undergraduate level
Subjects include: Psychology, Geography, Politics, Social Policy, Sociology, Religious Studies (Philosophy and Ethics), and wider social sciences and essay-based subjects.
Lessons can focus on: understanding difficult concepts, exam technique and essay structure, revision strategy, building academic confidence.
Teaching methods vary depending on how you learn best, including:
• structured teaching explanations
• visual slides and frameworks
• discussion and debate
• exam practice and feedback.
Lesson lengths range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, and I work with school students and adult learners.
All lessons are available online, making them flexible and easy to fit around your schedule.
