Clayton “Xale” Slusser is a Los Angeles–based professional woodwind performer, educator, arranger, and reed crafting specialist with extensive experience across orchestral, jazz, theatrical, chamber, studio recording, and freelance performance environments. A multi-instrumentalist specializing in double reeds and woodwind doubling, Xale performs throughout Southern California with a variety of ensembles, productions, and community arts organizations while also maintaining an active private teaching studio.
With over 15 years of teaching and performance experience, Xale works with students ranging from complete beginners to advanced musicians preparing for auditions, performances, honor ensembles, and professional opportunities.
