About Shreya
Hi! I’m a Master’s student in Biology at the University of Victoria with a background in biotechnology and hands-on research experience. My current research focuses on retinal electrophysiology, where I study how neurons in the retina communicate and process visual information. I’ve also worked across areas of cell and molecular biology, neuroscience, and biotechnology.
I’m friendly, patient, and love breaking down complicated science into ideas that actually make sense. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace—without biology feeling overwhelming or like a giant memorization exercise! I’ve always loved biology and I want to pass that forward if and when I can!:)
