About Finlay
The University of Cambridge not only gave me an invaluable understanding of music theory and history, it also afforded ample performance opportunities. I have been part of over seven bands as a trumpeter during my time at Cambridge, including playing in and directing the University Jazz Orchestra (CUJO). I have also played classical trumpet in orchestras and pit bands, as well as pop and function bands for weddings.

Lesson length is usually around 1 hour, but I can accomodate. For classical lessons, I will focus on technique and expression. For jazz lessons, I will teach jazz improvisation, ear-training, the ability to play musically with others, as well as proper technique.
