I have spent years exploring language, searching for the raw beauty hidden in simple moments, and I want to help you do the same. I want to share my knowledge because I know what poetry can do. It can heal, challenge, inspire, and transform. It is not just for books or classrooms; it belongs in conversations, on streets, in music, and in the depths of our emotions. My approach to teaching poetry would be immersive and experiential. Instead of starting with analysis, I would first encourage students to feel and live the poem—imagining its world, connecting it to personal experiences, and even acting it out. Writing would come before technical study, allowing creativity to flow freely before introducing structure and form. Rather than rigidly following rules, students would break them first to understand why they exist. Poetry would become a dialogue, where students respond to verses rather than just passively reading them. Finally, poetry wouldn’t be confined to the classroom—it would spill into performances, public spaces, and real-life interactions. In my class, poetry wouldn’t just be studied; it would be experienced, created, and lived.
