About Sean Ernest Clyde
Hi! I’m a licensed engineer with over one year of tutoring experience, helping students from high school to college confidently master Math and Science. My teaching style is straightforward, practical, and focused on real comprehension—not just memorizing formulas. I prioritize building a strong foundation of core concepts, followed by interactive seatwork to immediately apply what you’ve learned. Once you're comfortable, I’ll introduce advanced techniques—including calculator methods engineers use in the field—to sharpen your efficiency and confidence. Whether you're preparing for exams, catching up on lessons, or pushing for top grades, I bring structure, clarity, and professionalism to every session. I tailor each lesson to your pace, learning style, and academic goals—because one-size-fits-all teaching just doesn’t cut it.

My approach is straightforward and results-driven:
Concept First: I begin by breaking down the core fundamentals and theories in a clear, digestible way. I would then provide examples to supplement the concepts I've discussed.
Interactive Seatwork: After discussing key concepts, students complete guided seatwork instantly to test their comprehension.
Hands-On Techniques: Once students master the basics, I introduce calculator shortcuts and problem-solving strategies engineers actually use.
Illustrative Learning: I encourage inquiry and tackle advanced ideas through real-life examples that help solidify understanding.
Typical Lesson plan:
Each 1-hour session generally includes:
10–15 mins: Concept introduction with examples
15–20 mins: Guided practice problems
15–20 mins: Independent seatwork and coaching
5–10 mins: Recap and questions
Flexible to adjust depending on the student's pace and goals.
What sets me apart:
Engineer’s Perspective: I bring practical techniques and structured thinking to each session
Real-Time Support: Seatwork and feedback during the session builds confidence
Results-Focused: I prioritize understanding and retention—not just memorization
Student-Centric: I tailor lessons to fit each learner’s level and style
