My teaching philosophy is rooted in Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). I believe that language is a tool for connection, so my classes prioritize active speaking and real-world application over rote memorization.
1. We learn by doing. Instead of just studying the future tense, we will roleplay booking a hotel or planning a weekend itinerary.
2. I don't interrupt a student's flow. I take notes during their free-speaking exercises and provide constructive, targeted feedback at the end of the activity.
3. I go beyond basic vocabulary. I teach students the cultural nuances of English—such as idioms, phrasal verbs, humor, and tone—so they sound natural and confident, not robotic.
4. Language learning is vulnerable. I pride myself on extreme patience and creating a low-pressure environment where making mistakes is celebrated as a step toward fluency.
