About Petros
I’m Petros, a qualified teacher and AQA examiner with a background in Psychology and experience leading Sociology and teaching sixth-form students.
I enjoy helping students build confidence, manage exam stress and become independent learners. I have experience adapting support for students with special educational needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
My lessons break challenging content into manageable steps, connecting new ideas to key concepts that recur throughout the specification. This reduces mental overload and helps learning stick. You can expect patient, well-prepared lessons tailored to how you think, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practise.

My lessons use relatable examples and live modelling of my thinking to make challenging concepts accessible. Sessions last 40–50 minutes, with guided practice supported by sentence starters and an exam-skills bank. Hinge questions, multiple-choice tasks and varied question sets help me check understanding and adapt to how you think. In Sociology and History, flipped learning creates space for discussion and developing evaluation.
I hold QTS in England and Wales, with additional CBT training and university research experience. As an AQA examiner, I use anonymised scripts and examiner reports to inform exam preparation. Lessons are tailored to sixth-form and undergraduate students, building confidence and independence.

Cannot recommend Petros enough! As my previous psychology teacher he was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and always took the extra time to give detailed feedback which goes such a long way.
Petros is a former psychology teacher of mine who is one of the main reasons I managed to get myself an A in A level psychology and pursue Psychology as my degree in university. He is excellent in terms of explaining and breaking down content to be understandable as well as providing huge amounts of in depth personal feedback while also maintaining a friendly and funny personality. You're definitely in good hands with this man as a tutor!
