About Nick
Hi, I'm Nick, a Computer Science student at King's College London offering GCSE and A-Level Maths and Further Maths tuition.
Studying Computer Science at university has strengthened my mathematical and analytical thinking, enabling me to explain difficult concepts in a clear, intuitive way. I focus on helping students understand the why behind each method rather than simply memorising steps, building the confidence and problem-solving skills needed to excel in exams.
I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Biology at A-level, achieving A*A*AA, with an A* grade in Mathematics.
At GCSE, I achieved seven Grade 9s and three Grade 8s, and was awarded the Best GCSEs Award at Borden Grammar School. With over three years of tutoring experience, I have worked with students of varying abilities and learning styles. I believe every student can succeed with the right support, and I tailor every lesson to the student's individual goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. Whether you're aiming to build confidence, improve your predicted grade, or achieve a top Grade 9 or A*, I'll create a structured plan to help you get there.

I offer online GCSE and A-level Maths and Further Maths tuition for all exam boards. My lessons are structured around the full curriculum, combining step-by-step worked examples with supervised practice so students can build confidence and gain a deep understanding of every topic.
We work entirely at the student’s pace, revisiting challenging areas and focusing on any topics they would like extra support with. I primarily teach weekday afternoons and weekends.
Students receive weekly homework, and I’m always available for questions via email or WhatsApp to provide ongoing support outside of lessons.
Your first lesson is free and serves as an introduction to the course structure and my teaching approach. This allows us to establish a strong foundation and helps me tailor the lesson plan to the student’s individual needs.
After the introductory session, we begin working systematically through the Maths and/or Further Maths curriculum, aiming to build strong conceptual understanding, sharpen exam technique, and ultimately help the student achieve top grades.

He has taught me very well and is able to explain things perfectly. I initially had a grade 5 in maths and a grade 4 in biology and was feeling very hopeless, but now I feel much more confident in both subjects. Recently in my mocks I got a grade 8 for maths and a grade 7 for biology. Would definitely recommend Nick as a tutor!
