From Service to the Classroom: The Value of a Defense Background I'm excited to share a part of my personal history with you. Before becoming your instructor, I dedicated years of my life serving in the [Your Branch of Service, e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force]. While my uniform has changed, the core principles forged during my service—Discipline, Leadership, and Dedication—are now the foundation of my teaching style. How My Defense Experience Benefits You My background provides a unique perspective that translates directly into a structured and highly effective learning environment: 1. Emphasis on Structure and Discipline In the defense forces, clarity and process are paramount. In our classroom, this means: Clear Expectations: You will always know exactly what is expected of you, how you will be graded, and the steps to take to succeed. Time Management: We will practice efficient organization and effective time utilization, treating deadlines not as suggestions, but as critical components of professional work. 2. Focus on Practical Application and Mission Success My training emphasized taking theoretical knowledge and applying it under pressure. Real-World Scenarios: We will focus less on passive reading and more on problem-solving and practical application—learning skills you can actually use outside of this course.
