Grey is awesome! I corrected a lot basic skills in his session, like the correct moving of right hand thumb and how to play with pick. But I've not only learned to play guitar, I also learned to know guitar in a deeper way. I started to memorize the fretboard. Instead of just play with the tab, now I know what I'm playing and understand the music much better. His class covers ear training and improvisation as well. In his tutorials, I made huge improvement and now feel even more passionate on playing guitar!

Hub guitar is unique because they use a system that works great with guitarists. Rather than ad hock knowledge, I feel I am on a path to improve as a musician and player. They are very professional and courteous to my scheduling needs as well as my goals as a player. Highly recommended!

I’ve been having lessons with Greg and I cannot recommend him enough. I had taught myself guitar in my teens and played what I could, but I had definitely hit a plateau. I decided to take lessons, to see if I could improve things a bit, though was sure I probably had so many bad habits that a guitar teacher would either despair, or not take me seriously. I achieved my initial, modest goals and now have about 100 new goals, things I would never have thought were possibilities! I am learning different styles – flamenco, blues, classical and amidst work deadlines and the busyness of the week, guitar lessons are a real highlight.

I have started to take guitar lessons with Grey since September 2015. I was a complete novice. The progress that I have made during my first four months with Grey far exceeded any expectations I had and demonstrated to me what a wonderful teacher he is. I was able to play a solo by that time! Not only have I grown as a guitar playe, I also gained more confidence in myself. Now playing and practicing the guitar is not a chore but rather an activity I have performed happily and voluntarily.

Grey has a very unique way to identify my areas for improvement. For instance, he suggested me to practice from the end of the music sheet back to the beginning (creative huh?) but this way I was able to master the end as well as the beginning of the song!

Every song he picks is a great fit to develop a new skill for my learning. I have known how to play a Japanese solo song, Hana, and a Chinese pop song shortly after learning with Grey for about half a year. Now I already know how to play more solo songs (Japanese, classic, blue jazz etc!)

There will be more to learn! And not to mention, he put so much effort in making his lesson plans in his website and open to public for free! I took private lessons with Grey for about 2 years and he is such an awesome teacher and top of that a really nice person.
