About Ellen
In addition to being a Greek tutor, I am a fiction writer, proofreader, editor, and student of international fiction. I am in particular a student of Dostoevsky, Gogol, Jane Austen, Ann Radcliffe, Charlotte Bronte, Emily Bronte, and P. G. Wodehouse. My favorite Greek writers are the tragic an lyric poets. most especially Euripides and Sappho.

I teach Greek the way I learned it--from Chase and Phillips' A NEW INTRODUCTION TO GREEK, with daily homework and weekly quizzes. When we have gotten through Chase and Phillips--and this includes memorizing the back material--we will go on to the Gospel according to John.
