About Talia
I am a dedicated violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My teaching is rooted in a strong classical foundation, while also embracing modern and expressive playing styles. I focus on developing bowing control, vibrato, phrasing, and interpretation, helping students bring every piece to life.
Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether you aim to excel in Classical, Contemporary, or Cinematic music. I guide students through ABRSM and Trinity exam preparation with structured exercises and performance strategies. Orchestral coaching is also offered, emphasizing ensemble awareness, dynamics, and musical collaboration.
I encourage creativity alongside technical mastery, fostering confidence and expressive freedom in each student. Practice routines are designed to be engaging, effective, and rewarding. Students learn to connect with music emotionally while refining precision and technique.

My violin lessons focus on building a strong technical foundation while encouraging creativity and expression. I guide students through scales, bowing exercises, and posture techniques to develop precision and control. Rhythm and timing are emphasized through exercises that enhance accuracy, both in solo playing and ensemble settings.
I incorporate classical repertoire to strengthen musical understanding, while also exploring improvisation to nurture creativity and personal expression. Ensemble practice is a key part of my approach, helping students learn to listen, blend, and interact with others musically. I focus on phrasing, dynamics, and interpretation to bring each piece to life.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, whether learning for performance, personal enjoyment, or skill improvement. I provide strategies to overcome challenges and build confidence, making learning enjoyable and motivating. Progress is tracked with practical exercises, recordings, and reflective practice.
I encourage students to explore different styles, from classical to contemporary, developing versatility and adaptability. Regular performance opportunities help refine stage presence and self-assurance. Above all, I support each student in discovering their unique musical voice while fostering discipline, passion, and continuous growth.
