About Bethanie
Professional: I have four years of field experience in Out of Home Care, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Youth Work. I have experience in working with various complex psychological disorders, personality disorders, and complex trauma.
Academic: UNSW Honours Graduate with a Bachelor in Social Work. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and I am completing a Masters in Social Work Counselling.

I take all my lessons via Zoom meetings and my teaching method is collaborative and structured. I combine theory with real life scenarios and case studies to assist students in applying practical knowledge to their studies.
I aim to challenge your assumptions and support your development in the ever-changing world of Social Work practice with a constructive feedback in a kind and critically reflective way.
I will review the syllabus of your course and support your learning that is specific to the outcomes of the course or assessment.
My teaching approach is person-centred and will revolve around how you like to learn and what is most suitable to you. I offer my knowledge as an Honours Graduate from UNSW with 6000 recorded hours of field experience. I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and am currently completing a Masters Degree in Social Work Counselling as that is a particular interest of mine.
I am also happy to explore individual and group lessons if required, with responsive support when needed.
