About Curtis
I am a pianist, harpsichordist, and teacher in the Cincinnati area. My passion for music grew through my teenage years and now I am completing my doctorate degree. I have degrees in music/piano from Indiana University and I will soon complete my doctorate at the University of Cincinnati. My special musical interests include the music of Ravel, the Baroque period, and music pedagogy. I am passionate about my teaching and performing activities.

In my lessons, I work with students to develop a curriculum based on their short and long-term musical goals. I believe in making sure students experience new concepts in many different ways - whether through playing, listening, or creating. I want my students to feel effortless at the piano and I help them to experience this by finding the most efficient and natural movements to play. I have experience teaching a variety of learners, young and old. My piano and music theory teaching experiences include both private and collegiate settings. I especially enjoy students who are passionate about music and eager to accomplish their musical goals. I work with all ages and levels!
