About Wells
I’m a piano tutor with over 14 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Piano. Music composition and songwriting are my true passions, and I love sharing that excitement with my students. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and always personalized to fit each learner’s needs. Whether you’re a school student, college student, adult, or professional, I tailor lessons to help you grow confidently. I specialize in chord theory, performance skills, sight-reading, and improvisation, giving you a strong foundation for any style of music. Over the years, I’ve helped students at all levels—from intermediate and advanced players to professional and expert pianists. I believe that every student has unique strengths, and I work closely with you to build on them. My lessons focus on making learning enjoyable while pushing your skills forward steadily. Together, we explore creativity and technique in a way that keeps you motivated. My teaching approach is built around helping students grow steadily while exploring their creativity. I focus on developing strong musical skills, like reading music, understanding rhythm, and expressing emotions through playing. Each lesson is tailored to fit the student’s goals, whether they want to compose their own music or use piano as a way to relax and heal.
I encourage flexibility by introducing different styles, from classical to jazz, pop, and even contemporary sounds. This helps students build confidence and find their unique voice on the piano. I also emphasize the importance of good technique, so students can play comfortably and avoid injury.
Creativity is key in my lessons. I guide students to experiment with melodies, harmonies, and improvisation, making music personal and exciting. Regular practice is important, but I also use fun exercises and technology to keep learning fresh. My goal is to support every student, helping them express themselves fully while improving at a steady pace. Whether you want to write music or simply enjoy playing, I’m here to help you succeed and enjoy the journey.
