About Alicia

◘ A graduate of the Sorbonne (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees), I have been teaching French, English, and Norwegian since 2018, and have taught in the Netherlands and Spain.
◘ Since 2018, I have been teaching three languages—French, English, and Norwegian—primarily online.
◘ I spent three years studying just about every aspect of Scandinavia—ancient and contemporary history, culture, literature, and more—just so I could go live in Tromsø for a year and experience the Northern Lights, the midnight sun, and insane nature.
I didn’t have any career plans related to my studies—I just wanted to do something I enjoyed! And here you are… on my SuperProf ad!
◘ I also speak Spanish and am learning Italian.
◘ Accross all languages, I currently have over 3,000 hours of private tuition under my belt, the majority of which is online, from ages 8 to 69!
◘ My interests are:
Books (essays and novels, such as Karine Giébel's or B.A. Paris's psychological thrillers), psychology, spirituality, animals and nature, vegetarianism/veganism, drawing, painting and crafts, esotericism (tarot, astrology…), personal development, board games and card games, sports (rock climbing, pole dancing, flexibility training, running, badminton, surfing…), mountains, piano, travelling (backpacking and youth hostels, what a blast)... Overall, I’m a curious and open-minded person, no matter the topic!

★ Good news! My lessons are for you if you’re a complete beginner or at intermediate level and:
○ you want to move to Norway,
○ you want to go there on holiday and be able to get by when you’re there,
○ you’re in a mixed-nationality relationship and want to be able to understand your in-laws, your partner and your child.
★ Forget the language lessons you had at school: you’ll learn in the most fun way possible, because that’s how we learn best (it’s not just me saying that, it's neuroscience!)
★ If you’re a beginner, don’t be afraid – just give it a go! Norwegian isn’t rocket science after all.
★ If you’ve been teaching yourself Norwegian (using apps, for example), I’m here to help you organise and consolidate what you’ve learnt, but also… to finally get you practising!

I’ve been taking French lessons with Alicia for a year and I look forward to them every week. She quickly assessed my level and figured out a teaching style that suits me down to the ground.
